A story that stayed with me: “The Last Question”

Lately I keep coming back to one short story. Isaac Asimov wrote it in 1956, and it’s about a single question humanity asks a machine — over and over, across the entire life of the universe — and the answer it can never quite give, until the very end.

I won’t reprint it (it isn’t mine to reprint) and I won’t spoil it. Just read it — ten minutes, and the last line stays with you: The Last Question.
